Terms and Conditions

Headboards Britain aims to despatch your order within 1-2 weeks please appreciate that we require this time to hand craft your order.

We use a courier which we have carefully sourced in whom we have complete confidence to make your delivery as simple as possible.

We will email in advance to tell you the delivery date, you can change this if it is inconvenient for you.

At Headboards Britain, customer satisfaction throughout the transaction process is our main priority.

Returns:

If you are not happy with a product, we will of course accept returns. We must be alerted to any damage within 2 working days.

Delivery:

Delivery prices quoted are for UK mainland delivery only, excluding the Scottish Highlands, islands, Northern Ireland and Isle of Wight.

Please note we do not send goods outside the UK mainland or to BFPO addresses (Eire included).

The majority of our deliveries are made within 2-3 weeks.

There are occasions where the demand on certain products outstrips supply and in these cases delivery will be more than 14 working days. If this problem arises, we will contact you to update you on the progress of your order. Orders will be delivered on our behalf by our couriers and made between 8.00am – 6.00pm  on Mondays.

Our courier company are not insured to enter customer’s houses/premises and will require a signature upon delivery.
Please note that we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivering goods. In the unlikely event that your product appears lost or is damaged in transit please contact us immediately by telephone the service dept on 01792 898836. We insist you keep the original packing in case you have any reason to return your purchase (see Faulty or damaged goods below).

If a delivery attempt has failed other than the courier’s error a failed delivery charge will be incurred. This does not affect your consumer’s statutory rights

 

Terms and Conditions of Sale:

Our terms and conditions comply with UK legislation and are designed to ensure that all of our customers can shop easily and with confidence with Headboards Britian. The use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions.  These terms and conditions may change without prior notice and will not affect your statutory rights. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase on-line.

Products:

The intention of Headboards Britain is that any information on the web site should be as accurate and up to date as possible.
Simply Chaise have a huge range. Once the order is placed, the customer will be sent a confirmation if their order is successful. For any other queries the customer will be contacted.

Pricing:

All prices are in £ sterling, inclusive of VAT at 20%. The prices quoted on this website are only valid for internet sales.

Payment Methods:

We accept most major credit cards these include Visa, Delta, Mastercard, Switch & Solo. We will require cardholder’s full details including name, address and telephone number as registered with the bank. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been properly received. Cheque and postal orders are accepted although we cannot despatch the goods until payment has been cleared which can take at least 10 working days. Ownership and title in the goods will only pass to the customer upon receipt of full payment.

Printing & Pricing Errors:

We thrive in being very competitive with our prices, however we are entitled to make adjustments to the price due to an error or omission, or if the price published for the goods is wrong whether or not the order has been confirmed. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel your order. If your credit card has already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will immediately issue a refund to your credit card account in the value of the incorrect price. (E&OE)

Accepting Orders & Security:

Before we accept your order we may use information you have given to us, or we already hold about you, or which we receive from any enquiry we may make to confirm your identity. This assists us to protect you and us from fraudulent transactions. We reserve the right to decline your order. In which case you will be contacted to seek an alternative payment method.

Shortages:

It is the customer’s responsibility to sign for all packages as shown on the couriers consignment note. Any missing packages must be noted on the same consignment note before the driver leaves. It will be the customer’s responsibility to notify Simply Chaise of any shortages within 3 days of delivery.

Incorrect Goods:

Any incorrect goods received must be notified to us within 3 days. This would enable us to rectify the problem immediately.

Non-Deliveries:

Simply Chaise will not accept liability of goods lost in transit unless notified within 5 working days from the expected delivery date.

Damage in Transit:

If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must make a note on the couriers delivery consignment note and it will be your responsibility to inform us within 2 days from delivery.
If goods returned under this clause are found to be perfect these will be returned to you and an administration fee will be charged along with the cost of carriage to your credit card account. This does not affect your statutory rights as a customer.

Cancellations:

If you wish to cancel your order prior to despatch, you must e-mail us first at  and wait for a cancellation e-mail. As you can appreciate all items are bespoke to order – so cancellations must be given within 2 days after you order. If the item has reached the production team – a cancellation fee will apply.

Exchange & Returns:

If for some reason you are not completely satisfied with your order, or it is incorrect, we will be happy to exchange it or refund you within 14 days of receipt providing the items are undamaged.  All returned items are inspected before replacement or refund is made.  This does not affect your statutory rights.

Data Protection Act:

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).
We will collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.
We will not pass your e-mail address to other trusted traders unless you agree.
The type of information we will collect about you includes:
Your name
Address
Phone number
E-mail address
Credit/debit card details

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.
The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by e-mailing us. If you find inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

The personal information, which we hold, will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy.
If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.
We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a “cookie” which would be stored on your browser. You can modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless modify your browser settings.

Complaints

It is always our intention to provide a high level of customer service, but sometimes mistakes can occur. We will do our utmost to rectify the problem.
We take complaints very seriously indeed. If you do wish to complain then please e-mail us at or telephone 01792 898836 Monday – Thursday: 9 am – 4 pm.  We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days.
